How it all began

Sailing Dinghy

Sailing Dinghy

In 2013 a friend of ours had the idea to build a nested sailing dinghy. As he does not have the space or some of the tools needed, we offered him to build it our workshop. Soon the plans he bought arrived and with it the first sheets of wood. It was a pleasure to watch the progress. During the building Rene gave technical support and helped to change certain details. It was a great teamwork which was enjoyed by all.
The boat is a beauty with lots of detail work and great sailing performance. Rene fell in love building boats.

You cannot imagine how thrilled Rene was when in the same year he got a job to build a sailing dinghy for a Classic Charter Yacht. Our customer wanted to have a 10’2” Acorn Sailing Dinghy. The boat had to be built in Mahogany which we could source locally, without any mechanical mounting. The boat is a beauty, with lots of details that were not in the original plans. It can be rowed, an outboard engine can be mounted and the necessary floats for safety reasons were added.

That is how the boat building bug got me!
